Welcome to my Genealogy Web site! |
|
I am passionately interested in my family history. My Rawbone family - and it's variants - appears to stem from the lovely English county of Warwickshire. The 1881 census lists 70 people in Warwickshire, 26 in Middlesex and 21 in Gloucestershire. It's most famous son was, arguably, William Shakespeare. One of the Rawbones always maintained that the original family arrived in England with the Huguenots but this is still to be proven. Even with an unusual surname such as Rawbone, there are hundreds - if not thousands, including it's variants - world wide. We know the name occurs in South Africa, America and Australia. Currently, there are no direct overseas links to my family, however one day .... Please have a look at the Genealogy pages and if you're able to, please send me any additions, amendments, or corrections. You can contact me, Peter Rawbone, on 01494 713 649 within the UK ( + 44 1494 713 649 internationally ). If I'm out, please leave a message on the answer phone and I'll return your call as soon as I can. Better still, you can email me at pjjr@talktalk.net - remove a 'j' first! You are the person to visit the site. Once again, Welcome !
